Having grown up in the southwestern United States, I was continuously exposed to shapes, colors and textures of the high desert. This, in combination with the creative milieu of my artist-filled family, set the stage for my own creativity to be inspired and nurtured. As a child I loved the continuous rearranging of my own interior environment, and I later learned how this environment impacted my emotional state. I was able to bring all of these experiences and influences together as a student at Parsons, from which I was able to emerge with strong skills in the design arena. In particular I have honed my interests in healthcare / wellness design and environmentally conscious design. I am motivated by the potential that the built environment has to positively influence our lives, communities, actions and well-being.
